Senior Project Manager (Reactor or Turbine)
Senior Project Manager (Reactor systems or Turbine systems) – Videberg Kraft AB
Being part of the development of new nuclear power in Sweden is a unique opportunity – and a central part of the future sustainable energy supply.
Videberg Kraft is a project company with the mission to develop, construct, and operate new nuclear power in Sweden. The company is currently being built from the ground up, where strong owner capability, governance, system integration, and licensing readiness are critical to success.
We are now looking for Senior Project Managers (Reactor systems or Turbine systems) who will take a leading role in Videberg Kraft’s owner and future licensee organisation, driving planning, governance, and assurance for defined scopes within our new nuclear build programme – with strong focus on interfaces between reactor island, turbine island, and plant-wide supporting systems.
Your role
As a Senior Project Manager (Sub-Project Manager), you will lead a defined scope from an owner / buyer / licensee perspective. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that suppliers and contractors deliver in line with owner’s requirements, contractual commitments, quality expectations, and the licensing basis (SSM / international standards).
A central part of the role is to establish and maintain control of scope, schedule, cost, risk and change for your area, and to drive structured decision-making and interface management across technical disciplines and contracted parties. You will ensure appropriate verification, traceability and acceptance evidence is planned, produced and available for key programme gates and future licensing needs.
You will work in close collaboration with Engineering (incl. requirements, safety classification and system integration), Procurement/Contract Management, Quality, Construction and Commissioning readiness, and senior stakeholders—contributing to governance, reporting and ways of working in a company built from the ground up.
Scope responsibility (Reactor systems or Turbine systems) – owner / licensee side
Lead a defined work package / sub-project within the owner organisation, including scope definition, planning, governance and follow-up
Drive integrated planning and interface coordination across suppliers/contractors and internal functions; ensure clarity on dependencies, responsibilities and decision rights
Ensure design maturity and technical deliverables are aligned with owner’s requirements and relevant parts of the licensing basis; secure readiness for reviews, decision gates and acceptance activities
Drive risk, change and decision management; ensure robust owner positions for variations/claims where applicable
Ensure that verification and acceptance activities are planned and executed, and that evidence/traceability supports handover, commissioning readiness and licensing expectations (e.g., V&V, quality records, compliance matrices)
Governance, collaboration & leadership
Lead cross-functional owner teams and coordinate across Engineering, Safety/Regulatory, Procurement/Contract Management, Quality, Construction, Commissioning and Operations readiness
Establish and apply governance routines (progress follow-up, decision forums, reporting, KPI structure) aligned with programme governance
Manage suppliers and key stakeholders through structured communication, escalation paths and fact-based decision support
Contribute to building a strong owner culture with focus on safety, quality, compliance, transparency and disciplined execution
We are looking for someone who
Has proven experience as a Senior Project Manager, Project Manager, or Sub-Project Manager in large, complex projects (nuclear, energy, industry or similar)
Has strong capability in owner-side project governance: planning, follow-up, change control, risk management, and decision support
Understands regulated environments and can work with requirements, quality evidence and acceptance (experience from nuclear is a strong merit)
Is experienced in managing complex interfaces across disciplines and contracted parties, and can create clarity in technically complex environments
Has strong leadership and collaboration skills, and is comfortable working with senior stakeholders and steering groups
Communicates fluently in both Swedish and English
What we offer
A key leadership role in one of Sweden’s most important industrial initiatives
The opportunity to build an owner organisation and governance model from the ground up
Close collaboration with senior leaders, engineering experts and strategic suppliers
A high-impact environment where structure, clarity and quality make a real difference
Long-term opportunities to take on broader programme leadership as the organisation grows
